Rumi International Academy [RIA] was founded back in 2020 right at the height of COVID-19 outbreak globally.
The youth, in particular skilled and educated women and girls, are key members and founders of the academy. They are trying round the clock to reach more people across Afghanistan and the world.
Languages like English, French, German, Turkish and Persian as well as literary composition, journalism, psychology and management are taught in this online academy.
RIA’s team constantly focuses on enhancing the online offering of classes, specifically after the Taliban’s takeover back in mid-August 2021, and following restrictions on women and girls as depriving them of education and work.
RIA is focusing on empowering the young generation, in particular women and girls, for a bright future in Afghanistan. RIA’s team believes that awareness brings human beings close to each other, and will continue to address the biggest problem of the country, ignorance, by raising the level of knowledge and tolerance.
Right now it has more than 25 different classes with over 35 staff members, but soon it intends to expand its activities to fill the education vacuum which has emerged recently.
